I can not believe my life now. It is so very different from the life I lived when dad was here. He was the leader, which is as it should be. After talking big events or decisions over, he was the one who made the final choice in whatever, but we always agreed on things. I guess that all the while I was learning how to make decisions of importance for when the time came. Believe me, the time has come. Lots of decisions all the time and, thankfully, I have always had God's leading and many Christian friends and business men taking care of me to make the proper choices. My family, also, is always part of the decision to be made. I am truly blessed by all of these people in my life.
Saturday evening I made a call to my pastor's wife Lorraine, who also happens to be a v-p at the centerstate bank. I told her I would be in the bank on Monday to make some kind of a loan to cover the cost of the townhouse in lake placid. She rattled off all this info that was like Greek to me and told me what info I would need to bring along. She was going to email the loan officer in the bank and the woman would meet me there on Monday.
Meanwhile, I prayed.
I had just recently had my income tax filed, so I just took the whole envelope of stuff along with me to the bank. The loan officer was not there; could not be reached on the cell phone; I am sure she will hear about this when Lorraine gets back, maybe not.
Anyway, I was sitting there, the bank was not doing any business, they were a little embarrassed, I could see that, since Lorraine is such a "big-wig" in the bank. The first v-p was sitting there near me, Paul Gerrard, and I made a laughing statement to him that last time I had wanted a loan for a condo in lake placid, he had given me the loan in a matter of minutes. He said, "I can do that now".
So he filled out the paperwork and I should have the money by the middle of next week, a home equity line of credit at 5%, interest only, for 5 years.
What a blessing! To have Paul take care of the matter, (he knows me so well that he said he did not need any info on me), for God to open the way for me to deal with people that know me so well, that I have such a good credit report, that God is sending me the knowledge, the initiative, the courage, to learn these new things that are happening in my life. I praise the Lord for all He has, and is, doing for me. Even just the fact that I know I am never alone...that He is always there with me. And that He has given me such a marvelously loving and caring family and group of Christian friends. How can I ever repay Him. But He does not expect "repayment" ...just praise Him, obey Him, love Him, and help others with the blessings He has provided to me.
I really don't know how else to say all this except to thank Him for all of you. I love you, Mom

Monday morning on my own
It seems funny to be here in this house without Tim around now. It was so wonderful to have him here. He is so very full of energy and motivation and new ideas that all seem easy to put into action.
It was a great week. I got to see Walter and Renee so very often. Seemed like heaven to be able to do that. Am looking forward to doing that more now that I have heard all the reports of health tests are good.
Enjoyed getting with Donna this morning for our walk around lw lake. we walked 35 min. even saw Gail doing her running. I think I am going to try walking 30 min in the a.m. and 30 in the evening just in my neighborhood. I am so excited to be feeling so good.
This is really teaching me a complete new area of my life. Getting older, I know that, but still excited about life and enjoying getting fit. the food plan that the doc gave me seems to work for me and it certainly is a challenge....salt free....I do have to admit that I do use hot sauce more, also catsup and mustard...which are all loaded with salt, and I know that, but I don't overdo on them.
Getting the "clean" bill of health gave me a new lease and eagerness for life again. I had just felt bad for too long. I know God was in all that was taking place during this time and I never felt alone or neglected by Him,, I always knew He was there for me...and patiently listened to my prayers...my moanings and my groanings...and my praise for His strength and patience with me. and I know, now that I have been "renewed" with this health prob solved, that He has something for me to do. I am eagerly searching for it.
Isn't God good???? Actually, He is tooooooooooooo good. I don't deserve it. I have not earned it. but He loves me and takes such good care of me. 'bye for now.

Tim's gone.....
Pat and I took tim to the airport this morning.
went to my church for the early service first and then picked her up and went out for breakfast. good conversation and good company.
then on to the airport, which at first we could not decide how to get there, so we used my trusty ON star in the car and it took us right to it. Tim sure did not want to use it but it really did the job.
He got to the airport early but he did not mind and had a good book to read.
Pat enjoyed being with him. really likes him. I am blessed with my kids. true gifts from God, that's for sure.
I am so tired. see you later.

Another fantastic day!!
Well, the townhouse is almost mine. gave them the deposit check. hurt my heart to write that big a check but that's OK.
but the day started off so wonderfully with the 5 K race. I even walked some but just on my own. I am really getting into this health thing. ha ha
Tim won first place in his age group and Renee won in her age group and Walt in his age group...now looking back at this, what else can I do except get first place in MY group when I get back in shape???? Looking forward to that, that is for sure.
Got to go for now. see you soon.
